I’m in Multimedia after 24 hours of no sleep. So if I seem a little stingy, a little off, you know why. I’m sitting here, listening to the “Under The Influence” album by Terra Namoi on my 30gig video iPod, and drinking a medium coke icee from Burger King.
Take it from me, somebody having had years and years of troubles sleeping, insomnia IS NOT fun. It’s a sad way to live your life, it’s like, somebody waylayed Mr. Sandman. Seriously. I think he’s tied up with duct tape over his mouth sitting in the back of somebody’s closet right now. I sat up watching either random shows, paid programming, listening to The Simpsons Season 4 DVD Audio Commentary, or playing Super Mario Bros on the old Nintendo system.
You ever play Super Mario Bros at 3 in the morning? It’s quite a calming experiance, one that certainly seems like it’s something you should have tried years ago. Seriously, if you ever have the chance, play that game at 3 in the morning, it’s a bizzare experiance, one certainly good for party stories.
The other aspect of it is doesn’t it always seem like something is going to attack you at 3 in the morning, like for some reason you’re somehow suddenly transported into some weird, bizzare horror movie demension and any minute now, Jason’s gonna come out from under your bed and just thrash you to peices? Bad and scary things always seem as if they could happen late at night, or early in the morning, whichever way you wanna look at it.
I also found myself enjoying The Backyardigans.
I really shouldn’t be operating a keyboard right now.
