Christ & Cath

Christmas trees are a pain in the butt.

I’m going to get my christmas trees and christmas and christianty (sound the same don’t they?) go hand in hand, except my family is Jewish & Catholic, so, it doesn’t make any sense. My mom wanted to get a HUGE tree to honor my dead grandmother who died earlier this year, and so we will probably not only have our tree put in, but our roof taken out as well. Anyway, this also means we will have to get the ornaments our, or, as is made obvious in my house, I WILL HAVE TO GET THE ORNAMENTS OUT.

That means going up into my rafters in my garage, where rats, roaches, and probably the body of Jimmy Hoffa live. Hell Saddam Hussain could have been hiding in my garage, Osama could be up there, I have no idea! The only way I could put this into simple terms is Trey Parker’s example of how he feels about making South Park.
“I hate putting the tree together, but I like seeing it once it’s done.”
Not only does this mean getting a tree, finding a place to put the damn thing and then getting ornaments out but now I also have to buy presents for these people! I don’t have that kind of time for anybody else!

But Christmas & Christiany. You know how people get Catholics & Christians mixed up? Think of it THIS way, christianity is the one that truly believes in christ. For example, you can’t even SAY christianity without saying “christ”. So what do catholics believe in?
“I’m a catholic, I believe in cath, and her death for our lord!”

None of these things make any sense.

But that’s the point of holidays and religion.
