Signatures & Talent

Posted in Uncategorized on March 6, 2008 by vandelayinc

The following was written by my fiance. There was an entire page of stuff, but this is the one that caught my attention:
I don’t see why people need band signatures, or any signatures for that matter. Yes I have a few myself but I realized that it puts me us in an inferior / superior position and it makes them seem like they are superhuman which they are really not. Although I love I Am Ghost and I would love to have their autograph(s), I don’t think I we should consider them…extramundane. They are just normal people who have a talent that they choose to share with us.
The definition for talent (according to my computer’s dictionary) is “a natural aptitude or skill”. We all have different skills we are good at. If we decided to show them off we, perchance might become popular. Popularity does not change who we are it just means that you are liked, admired, or enjoyed by many people. So does popular mean superhuman now? Can you honestly say that famous people are superior to us?
If you really think that then I’m sorry, I feel extremely bad for you. No offense but I don’t think you will go very far in life buddy. Hah if you go around thinking you are inferior to everyone you pass by…then you are going to have one very miserable life. I am not going to think like that anymore. All of us “losers” could be higher in status if we really wanted to be and I’ll bet we could do it without an agent and all that shiznit.

Damn, she’s funny and you can’t deny it.  But while we’re at it, why do we feel that we can’t arrest celebrities too? Because they do such great work and bring us entertainment? A DUI is a DUI people. No matter HOW famous you are or not.

Malfunctions

Posted in Uncategorized on March 6, 2008 by vandelayinc

I just read a news story where a guy won a 5.15 million dollar jackpot from a casino slot machine.

Until one of the casino workers came and unplugged the machine, calling it a malfunction.

This is pretty much two kids playing video games. It’s a known fact that if you’re playing a video game and someone unplugs it right at a climactic moment, they will cower and whimper in loss.

“Mom, he won’t share the jackpot!”

So he unplugs it. And what did the casino offer him for the trouble? 100 bucks and a free meal. The man who won is now suing the casino. So wait, he’s suing a casino for basically 100 dollars and a chicken cutlet?  Let’s hope he wins. This could be a win for all babies everywhere.

QUESTION: Would you ever unplug something just to shatter someone else’s hopes and dreams?

BONUS PARTY QUESTION: Would you rather sue for a steak or a chicken cutlet?
