Pokémon has been criticized by members of the religions of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam; Christian concerns over Pokémon have primarily concerned perceived occultic and violent themes as well as the concept of “Pokémon evolution”, which is said to violate creation according to Genesis. In the United Kingdom, the “Christian Power Cards” game was introduced in 1999 in response to these claims of Pokémon to be Satanic, the game being similar to the Pokémon TCG but using Biblical figures.
That’s from Wikipedia. Being the nerd I am, me and Matt decided to look up Pokemon (seeing as they’re nearing The Simpsons in episode #) and find out just exactly what season they are in. What we found however, was that they are satanic. And so I guess that makes Scizzor Satan. How does someone handle that? Because I seriously doubt that some guy walks into confession and goes, “I’m sorry father, for I have battled”. It was also said to promote Cockfighting. Because apparently, Piggdeotto looks like a f’ing rooster. Insane. Ridiculous. Awesome.
I’m all for stupid frivilous claims. Just not ones that have everybody worshipping and then commiting mass suicide by lemonade over a small yellow rat. Because that’s just retarded.
