Myspace and youtube both get their fair ammount of chain letters, and it’s always some weird sh*t that never happened. Specifically, the one I just read that inspired this blog post was something to the effect of “a boy died because he didn’t repost a chain letter in myspace, and it was apparently about some 3 y/o who died having sex”. Look, I’m pretty sure, because these are ALWAYS about kids dying, that if they ACTUALLY died, wouldn’t we hear about it in the NEWS?!
Everything myspace oriented gets put into the news, even if it’s good news! For gods sakes, it could be “Myspace announces their allegience to Satan is eternal! Jesus’s page got slagged & spammed with hate comments and pleads, however Jesus is on vacation in the Bahamas.” AND THAT WOULD GET RECOGNIZED! Or, it could be “myspace cat gets huge video views! cat now has an agent!” AND THAT WOULD GET RECOGNIZED! It all matters on what it is, so if these chain letters existed, I’m pretty damn sure we’d hear about them.
If you’re going to make a chain letter, at least make it a bit believable, such as:
“If you do not repost this chain letter, YOU WILL KEEP GETTING CHAIN LETTERS!!!!!!”
Now THAT’S scary.
