I had a conversation the other day in which I made a statement that seemed to irritate someone. Like THAT’S something new, right? So they said how they admire certain people. I said I don’t admire certain people. What I mean by that is this. I admire cancer patients. But I admire cancer patients that actually DO something about their cancer. The ones who mope and whine, yes, you have perfect reasoning for doing that, no argument here. BUT, you could make it a lot less stressful and painful if you would just get treatment. I’m not gonna admire someone who’s not doing anything to help themselves, and expect everybody to love them anyway. I’m sick of being told who to admire in my life, in this country.
I admire the ones who get treatment, don’t ASK for encouragement, and survive it.
THOSE are the ones who I admire. The same goes for anybody like them. Except for AIDS, being as my uncle died from it, so I have a personal experience with it that changes my opinion a bit. Stop bitching and start helping. That’s the motto I give to you. But it’s not MY motto.
Mine is, “Help nobody and bitch about everything.”
Yes, I am a human contradiction.
