So my parents have been bickering a lot lately, the word divorce has even come up a few times. Let me just say this: If you can’t make a SECOND marriage work after 10 YEARS in it, then maybe you just shouldn’t be with anyone AT ALL EVER.
I resent these people who think they “HAVE” to get married. Let me tell ya somethin’, alright? Nobody’s HAPPIER married. You’re gonna have the same amount of love and happyness whether you’re married or not. Some crappy certificate announcing your relationship is legally recognized ain’t gonna make a lick o’ difference, alright? We clear? Good, moving on.
You don’t HAVE to get married. In fact, I will PROVE that it is a better idea to be a couple, and not be married, than to be married. First off, you don’t HAVE to live together, and this way you can each do your own favorite activities without bothering the other person, and not as many fights over space and other issues. Secondly, if you’re just IN a relationship and not STUCK IN a relationship, and you don’t wanna be there anymore, it’s not that messy. AND it won’t cost you THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to break up with someone. You just say you wanna see other people, that’s it, it’s over. This is what a bunch of people ARE doing now, is just living together instead of getting married, and I gotta say, it sounds a whole hell of a lot better.
Marriage sounds like the army. A man made prison. And BTW, they always say “Til Death Do Us Part” when you’re getting married. Um, I’d like to fix that statement please, if I may? Thanks. I’d like to change it to what it SHOULD say, which is:
“Til Boredom and Hatred Of My Spouse Do Us Part”.
