I DESPISE working in groups. For a number of reasons.
Most of the time, groups are a bad thing; Gangs, Cults (although cults are ENDLESSLY entertaining) and those sorts of things. But there are those rare times when a group can be a good thing too. Such as….say….threesomes. Ultimately, I hate working in a group for one specific reason, and as selfish as it may sound, it’s my opinion, so I’m entitled to it, be it selfish and egotistical or not. I don’t like working in a group BECAUSE, nobody likes what I have to say outside of the internet, and for the most part, those ON the internet don’t either. Those who DO appreciate what I say, I thank you greatly. You are appreciated as well. But because these people, often immature, do not care about what I have to say, everytime I’m put into a group I’m always either ignored, or my opinions are pushed to the back for THEIRS. The other thing is, and again, selfish sounding perhaps, I like getting credit for the work I do. When I actually DO work. Therefore, when you work in a group, and you complete something, and have done a grand job, the GROUP is assigned the credit as a whole, NOT you. THAT bugs me.
However, the group effort, as I stated earlier can be appreciated in some mediums, such as threesomes, or a party. A party doesn’t do it for me, because I’m totally and completely anti-social and can’t stand people. Especially in small crowded spaces, with REALLY bad music. That sort of thing does not give me the urge to dance, it gives me the urge to kill. I’m not sure if there’s anything else that can be said about group efforts, except for this; when you are in a group, and you have a bad feeling about being in that group, remember the motto:
“When in doubt, get the f*ck out!”
