Take a Number

Posted in Uncategorized on December 9, 2008 by vandelayinc

So, I just went to the doctors.

First off, my appointment was at 3:30. They took me in 43 MINUTES LATE. Now, am I crazy, or are there others out there who think that if you make an appointment, you should FUCKING KEEP IT?! What if someone’s life depended on you being somewhere at 3:30, and you get there at 3:32, you can’t just go, “Oh, my bad, sorry dude. Can we try that again?” Whatever, not only do they take me 43 minutes late, but then they GET MY LAST NAME WRONG. Ok, is Wiland THAT fucking hard to pronounce?!

Look, I think that they should either stick to their appointments, or make it the same as the emergency room, first come, first serve. Take a number, that sorta shit. Appointments don’t work, because NOBODY ever respects a set time. Not even fetus’s respect a set time! Some loony nut in a white lab coat tells you that you’re going to give birth on May 3rd, at 4:45 in the evening right as “The price is Right” comes on, and instead you give birth in August 7th, 9:32 in the morning and it’s a shitty episode of “Everybody loves Raymond.” So really, we never even START respecting it. We disrespect our parents and adults before we’re even born.

I’m just sick of being told of deadlines or set appointments I have to keep when the people giving them can’t even keep them themselves. I’ll be back to bitch about something else tomorrow, and rest assured, you know I KEEP MY appointments.
