When I was at CCOC sometime last week, I had to check out someone’s project they were editing, and one of the people said right to my face, “You know, you really look like a child molester.” Um, is it even POSSIBLE? UI mean, do they have their OWN looks now? John Waters once said he was in a bar and the guy sitting next to him told him, “You know, everybody thinks I’m a 30 year old junkie, but actually I’m a 40 year old alcoholic.” Can you even LOOK like those things? I mean, I get that teenagers can have a certain look because there’s cliques that represent those looks. Gothic, Preppy, Emo, those sorts of things, and so if you’re a kid and you’re labeled as one of those, sure, that sticks, but do they work for adults too? I don’t think so.
Can I really go up to a guy and say, “Man, I don’t know what it is, but you REALLY look like a necropheliac.” Ya know, just something in his hair, or his clothes that makes me think that when he has sex, he’s not the only stiff one, um, and I don’t think you can do that to people. I don’t think you can say things like that to people. Labeling people seems to be a kid/teen activity, and an outdated one at THAT, so uh, it seems very wrong to me that someone would say that sort of thing. So for my blog, I usually would go and research what a child molester looks like, and then ya know, put myself up next to him to see the difference. Only problem is, do you REALLY want to go type in “Child Molester” into Google and then hit “Image Search”? I don’t. You don’t know WHAT the fuck would come up!
So unfortunately, I can’t do that part of it, but I don’t think I look like one. Why would I? I don’t do it, it’s immoral and wrong, but then again EVERYTHING is immoral and wrong. In this day and age? SHIT. Having MORALS is immoral. You know you loved that. So it comes right down to me just saying it’s a kid thought process to HAVE TO label everything around them, and it’s something I hope they grow out of. You know what I think I look like?
Someone more logical and successful then they are.
