The Missing Link
I have a theory for the missing link.
First of all, apparently the missing link is what is referred to as a “Transitional Fossil”. A fossil is like what we find on Dinosaurs, ya know? To show us how we’ve evolved from cave people, or um, how animals how evolved. Well, here’s the thing, there’s said to be some missing transitional fossil that is keeping us to find out how we’ve fully evolved. Us-being the greedy self absorbed people that we are-always assume that we are at the top of everything. Food chain, the best weapons, the smartest form of life. So many can’t stand the belief in aliens because they think it means there’s something out there that ISN’T HUMAN that is smarter than us, and just…how can THAT be? *rolls eyes sarcastically*
So here’s my theory. What if there IS no missing link? What if we’ve found the way people are going in hundreds of years because of the way technology has turned out. We know how a lot of the future is going to look, thanks to our technology, and we know the future life spans of people and so on and so forth. On the other end of the spectrum, we know what we USED to look like, we USED to look like cave dwelling monkeys who for some reason took their fashion sense from Julias Ceaser. We know where we came from, and where we’re headed. What if WE’RE the in between? What if WE’RE the missing link? Nobody ever asks the simple question, when usually it’s said that the simplest answer is generally the obvious one.
Suppose it for a second. We know we’re not up to snuff, and we know we’re not all we could be. Obviously because of technology, there’s a lot of stuff we haven’t reached yet. New higher forms of living, and things like that, so we HAVE to be in the in between! I think WE’RE the missing link. Granted these are all just theories. But I have a question about THAT as well.
If evolution is a “fact”, why’s it called “The theory of”?
