Secondhand Smoke
I want to put the truth out there about secondhand smoke, which is that IT CANNOT KILL YOU. Now here is why.
Secondhand smoke is one of those things made up by the anti-smoking agencies to prevent kids from-not only smoking-but even getting remotely NEAR cigarettes at ALL. It’s something they used to scare children, ya know, like the Church does with Hell. Neither are true, or exist, but damnit, they work like charms.
The main reason I believe this is because we always see reports, commercials and all this sort of stuff that say, “My daughter died from drunk driving” or “My son was a victim of secondhand smoke.” First off, you have to be around secondhand smoke A LOT to get hurt from it. So unless this kid was in a room with no windows, no doors, no air vents and surrounded by 50 people smoking for a year straight, I doubt he’d die from it. Secondly, where’s the fucking paperwork? I’m not going believe anyone’s dead until I see some god damned evidence.
This all harks back to the idea of circumstantial evidence. Just slap some numbers and “facts” on something, and people will buy your theory as if it was true! Circumstantial Evidence is just about as trustworthy and effective as a PLACEBO, ok? We never actually SEE the evidence of course, because we just rely on the word that evidence of some kind exists. But then we argue that we don’t have TIME to see it, we’re busy people! So when we tell people something with circumstantial evidence, they won’t be gullible, they’ll be BUSY.
I’d say humans are smarter than they look, but really how hard can THAT be?
