I’d Like A Medium Popcorn & A Gang War Please

I went to see “Coraline” the other night, and apparently-I didn’t see it happen, I heard it from someone else in the theater-while they were out going to the bathroom, a gang war started in the lobby.

I guess it started with two guys, then two more jumped in, and before you know it, one guy was chasing after another with a pole screaming, “I’M GONNA KILL YOU, YOU MOTHER FUCKER!” This leads me to the conclusions that even going to the MOVIES, is a dangerous fucking task now. I mean it was already bad enough, what with having tons of shit taken away from us because it’s dangerous. Mountain climbing, you could fall off and die. Swimming, you could drown or get eaten. Playing outside, you could get kidnapped. Going to school, someone could bring a gun and shoot everything, or you could get beaten up. Jesus christ, walking down the fucking STREET is too dangerous because you could get MUGGED! I mean, of all the things that there already were in the world, war, famine, disease, murderers, rapists, do we REALLY need the fucking curb to be added to the list?

“No Jean, I won’t let Billy play outside anymore, I just read in the newspaper that the curb took the Johnson Boy’s knees the other day. AND their lunch money! I mean, the curb Jean, the curb, we all used to be such close friends, you know? He used to let them draw with chalk on his sidewalk and know he’s hurting our children, I just don’t know what the world has come to!”

I mean, this entire thing stems from fear. Most people have a fear of heights, I have somewhat that mixed with vertigo. It’s a weird combination. But what gets ME is the fact that even sitting on your front lawn is now a fucking health hazard. So when I heard about THIS, I was like, “Really? REALLY?! We have a gang war in the lobby?! God damnit.” I mean, it’s just so stupid. Oh but don’t worry shut-ins (like myself), there’s things they’ve created that can scare you too, so you don’t have to leave your home! Yeah, home invasions, robberies, house fires, I mean jesus, they even have us fearing for our lives in our own HOMES.

School, not safe.
Work, not safe.
Home, not safe.
Life, not safe.
