Google Results

Teens are pulled into many trends and I know the one that bugs ME is that they think they have to be PERFECT, in attitude AND looks. Well, I just read today that the follow google results were tracked:

How to be anorexic – 1,160,000
How to be bulimic – 437,000

That’s REALLY fucked up. I know people who actually ARE these things, and to think that girls are saying, “God! You know, BECKY’S mom lets HER be bulimic! You’re the worst mom EVER!” I mean, it’s SO sad! Let me tell you something, if this is what people are searching, how much longer is it until we see searches resulting in, “How to get AIDS”? Honestly? Because it’s getting THAT bad! It bugs me that kids think they have to have a great body, but I deal with it because in some sort of stupid vain superficial way, it makes sense. But to look up how to be anorexic is almost equal to looking up, “How to murder babies” or “how to molest my sister” or something.

I can’t wait for the day to come when we see these search results turning up things like, “How to marry your father” or something equally fucked up. Teenage girls are fucked up because they think that they have to look great in order to get noticed. Well, I like brains. Not looks. So all you’re doing is setting a bad example for both genders. Men think women all look the same and have to be perfect, and women think they have to or the men won’t like them, and if this IS the case, then FFFUUUCCCKKK we are doomed as a society. I once read about a guy who searched up, “How to murder your wife” and got arrested. I think we should implement that sort of rule here. Whenever you find a result like that on anorexic or bulimic or whatever it is these royally sugar coated teen turds are looking up, then I think that some sort of doctor or health facility should be dispatched to get them and put them into some sort of treatment IMMEDIATELY. They should also do this for suicide.

It scares me what we, as a society, are coming to. I noticed that every year a new trend comes along. One year it was being black was so in, and then another year it was being gay, and then gangsta, but I never knew it would reach the point where being anorexic or bulimic would be the “in” thing.

When being anorexic/bulimic becomes the hottest new trend, I think THAT’S when we should know our children are in trouble.
