Son Of Sam
Last night on television I watched the beginning of the movie, “Summer of Sam” which is based on the murders by a guy they called, “Son of Sam.”
Sam killed couples. I’m not sure, nobody ever told me. But he did. Sam was clearly insane and I believe is still in prison. I knew before I watched the movie that Sam was a mailman. An insane mailman. My question is what caused him to go nuts? Was he so stressed out by being a mailman that he snapped under Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? You know you loved that, admit it.
I actually learned that what caused him to do it was his dog. Apparently, his dog told him to kill people. A dog telling a mailman to kill people doesn’t make any sense to me. First of all, dogs ATTACK mailmen, so it befuddles me why he would even OWN a dog. Secondly, why would an animal that attacks this guy, tell him to go attack OTHER people? They say he was crazy. I say he was just bored.
Apparently Sam isn’t even his name, is what I later heard, but I’m not sure if this is true or not. There are much more menacing names for killers than “Sam”.
Like…”Son of Shaun.” Shaun is a much better name than Sam is. How did this guy ever get anyone scared for their lives? Could you imagine if he was holding up a bank, and a reporter was reporting on it, and said, “Apparently, Sam has taken everyone in the bank hostage.”
Would YOU be scared, ’cause I wouldn’t.
