The Bible Is A Prop

I remember when I was a little kid and I had to use dial up for the internet.

The main provider back then was generally AOL and it usually took about 15 minutes to get online, and then even loading stuff took FOREVER. But time progressed, and now I am connected virtually 24/7 WHICH IS A PROBLEM. The internet has done a few things to me. First of all, it sped up my age, meaning PORN. Porn was suddenly accessible AT ALL TIMES. Second, with sites like www.rotten.com or www.gurochan.net I have been completely desensitized to anything horrific, which is why when I hear about a murder now, the only thing I can say is, “That’s a shame.” Thirdly, INFO. I can get information at any second, thanks to the internet, wikipedia and everything else available. Therefore, technically, I had the mindset of a 24 year old when I was 9 and the patience of a 2 year old when I’m 19. So there MAY be a problem here.

When something happens, blame HAS to be administered somewhere. The reason I talked about speedy internet and dial up is because if you didn’t live before high speed connections, like you’re a 6 year old NOW (although if there ARE 6 year olds reading this blog, please, I urge you to get help IMMEDIATELY) then all you know is high speed fast internet. And this is where my debate about religion and everything else comes in. You have to patience to go back and learn anything about ANYTHING. Anything that came before your time is immediately considered “oldies”, anything that you grew up with that slowly faded into obscurity is considered “retro” and anything you look forward to is “the future”. Retro is another word for “old shit”. It’s one of the reasons I am an atheist, not because I really DON’T believe, but because I don’t have the patience to listen to bullshit that never mattered to me before.

Such as religion to me, I don’t care because I never had any interest in it. It came before my time in a way. Another reason is-as with the people who don’t believe in UFO’S, BigFoot, Loch Ness or any of THAT stuff-because religion, and the stories it tells, are very much like UFO belief. People don’t believe in certain things because it cannot be dated, categorized or easily referenced. It cannot be called upon suddenly. It’s hard to get proof for something that nobody in our time period was alive to see actually happen. The reason there’s alot of debate and hate against religion is the lack of fucking WITNESSES. So many people live in the mindframe of “If I can see it and I can touch it then it’s real”, but if there’s no proof, no hard backing evidence, then why BOTHER?

And the bible hasn’t been ruined by non believers, religion hasn’t been ruined by the atheists or the agnostics or the jews. It’s been ruined by the people who DO believe in it! The Atheists aren’t to blame for the lack of religion in other countries. Why do religious people always say, “You’re an atheist, you’re to blame for all this violence!” when the atheist look at religion and just say, “Hey, I don’t CARE” and walk AWAY. More people have been killed and more wars have been fought in the name of GOD than for any other reason! The atheists aren’t to BLAME, it’s the RELIGIOUS people who are to blame for the death of the bible and the death of religion. It’s the RELIGIOUS people, and here’s why.

These people use religion as a backing system for banning and attacking everything THEY find morally reprehensible. Anything THEY don’t like-*BOOM*-automatically goes to “Well it’s against God’s law” or “God says it’s forbidden”. I saw a sign being held by a protestor when all this prop 8 shit was going on, and it actually said, “Gay marriage is against my religion”. Well hey, YOU don’t have to marry a gay! Not everybody believes in YOUR religion, ok? These people use religion and the bible as a THEATRICAL PROP. That’s all it become, America’s favorite national theatrical prop. They cut out words on tv like “God Damnit” or attack music because they say it turns kids into satanists. Well I’ve never seen the band come back and go, “Yeah, well you turn them into little believers! YOUR shit is the evil one!” The band doesn’t do that because their music doesn’t do that BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE ARE NOTHING BUT STAGE ACTORS.

Hey, if religion was REAL, why is Jesus’s death called the CruciFICTION?
